USD/CHF recovers from 1-week lows
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CHF came under pressure and fell to its lowest level in a week as the dollar weakened across the board on Thursday and surrendered part of previous days' gains.
USD/CHF fell nearly 80 pips from daily highs and scored a 1-week trough of 0.9525 before finding support and recovering slowly during the last hours.
On the data front, US initial jobless claims fell to 255K last week, versus 280K expected, which helped the dollar to recover further over the last minutes. At time of writing, the pair is trading at 0.9560, still 0.33% below its opening price.
USD/CHF key levels
On the upside, immediate resistance levels are seen at 0.9600/02 (psychological level/Jul 23 high) and 0.9631 (Jul 22 high). On the downside, supports could be found at 0.9525/21 (Jul 23 low/200-day SMA) and 0.9500 (psychological level/100-day SMA).
